When we first visited this school it was clear that it needed a new roof and the walls had to be repaired. At that time there were only 60 children attending. We were told there were still 800 children living in the hills in which the school is located who had no other school to attend. At that time, the school looked like this:
We have therefore paid for the roof and walls to be repaired
and
have built two more class rooms. The number of children attending this
school has grown to 430. Below you can see pictures of Gatovu Primary
School as it now looks.


Here is the latest Gatovu school photo of two new classrooms being built. We urgently need these to be completed in order for the school to have its own headmaster and for older students to be able to stay at the school in this additional accomodation.
